Day 139 (3700 miles)

It appears the bicycle sign ministry may be over. California is a very beautiful place. There are so many people. The inquiries I've made about working for a bicycle have fallen on deaf ears. The thrift stores I've contacted do not do any thing unless you have cash. I did get a nice pizza dinner and a man running a charity out of his van gave me a nice par of shoes. My old ones were really bad. Thank you God for the answered prayer. I heard there was a Catholic church that would give a clothing voucher, but the store was hard to get to. Its hard to get information from people here.
On the bright side I was able to collect cans on Christmas and have enough money to get a bus ride to Ocean Side. I have money left over to buy some food. A friend that has followed my progress may be able to give me a place to stay and a job till I get back on my feet. The thought of living outside and finding employment had been troubling me. It is difficult for any one to give you a job when they can't get a hold of you. So this opportunity sounds real appealing to me. Please pray that this door of opportunity will stay open if its Gods will.
I hope all of you had a Merry Christmas and have a great new year. If I take this opportunity I'll shut the web site down. Your friend Daniel
