Sorry about the negative theme of my last post. Thank you however for your prayers. My kidney pain and tooth pain has gone away for now. No treatment is available, so its probably just put on the back burner, but I'm glad its there, and I'm not experiencing the pain.
I decided to take my beat up old ten speed and take it on the road from Bellingham( 20 miles from Canada) to San Diego. I tried to do this last year, but after making it to Red Wood National Park( Near Eureka CA) fires turned me back. I've made it through Washington, through the beautiful Olympic Peninsula,(Olympic National Park), and half way down the coast of Oregon. I'm currently having problems with my rear rim(bad spokes and dents) and I'm praying for a solution to this problem. I stopped at a bicycle shop, and they want at least 23 dollars to fix it. I'm heading to a mission to try to get a place to sleep tonight, then, I'll try to find some work to raise the funds to fix the bike or buy a new old one. While on the road I rarely get the urge to drink or any thing like that, please pray God continues to work on my heart and that He will provide for my needs. July 2009 Post

It was great to hear from dan g. I remember coming across him and his group on the Appellation Trail. Life has become so different the past few years. I will attempt to answer Dan's question about whats going on and what to pray for me about. I don't like to be negative, nor do I want to be the accuser, the world has to many of them.
I'm currently in Bellingham WA. I have so much to be grateful for, thank you God for meeting my every need. I need prayer for my health, 4 teeth raughting out of my skull, I have no money to get them fixed. So please pray treatment will be made available. I've been having sharp kidney pain in my right side, and there is no treatment available at this time. So please pray for the pain to go away, or that treatment will be made available.I've struggled with a deep sense of lack of purpose and question why I'm still here on this planet. So please pray God will give me purpose and direction. Pray that I will find good friends that love the Lord and truly care about His interests, and mine as well. Please pray that the right job will be made available to me, so that I can meet my needs and regain the hope I've lost.
I thank God so much for the opportunity to travel the last few years, and for allowing me to meet so many truly wonderful people. Discouragement took its toll, and I decided to leave Michigan. I've been on the road for about 28 days and I finally made it to Washington State. I just got here 3 days ago and I'm still settling down. It was very hot here the 1st 3 days, but its back to normal now, nice and cool. Late April 2009 Post

I've been working for a large fast food chain restaurant. It is hard work, and some times very stressful. The people I work with work so hard.
I've continued to search for more steady work and I've landed a 3rd shift maintanance position at a very large department store chain. They're known for very reasonable prices, who knows, this might be a fit for me.
I'm truly greatful for God's unending grace and love, and also for the continued patience of many people who are a part of my life. I start my new job Sunday night, I hope it will allow me to get back within societies norms a little closer. Have a great day, God bless Daniel

I'll try not to be negitive. I miss experiencing the clear blessings of being out on the road. I'm being challenged with a negitive attitude, and a state of circumstances that seem bleke, and unworkable. On the road the problems I encountered were simple and God addressed them and fixed them so quickly. The issues I face daily here seem to be here to stay, and are not being fixed at all. I, like everyone, need prayer, its so hard for me to see God any where in these situations, I hope you guys have a good month, bye Dan

03/2009 Update

Still no work, the bakery show up position didn't work up. I see my kids, Lucas(8) and Lacey(7) once a week. My parents are still letting me stay at their home. I'm in a non custodial parents program looking for work. So many people unemployed up here in Michigan. I hope all is well with you folks.

Hi All,

I've met so many nice people over the past year or so. I'll try to post monthly to let you know whats going on in my life. Things are real bad for work in MI. I'm working at a bakery, you show up in the morning and if the res work they let some of us work. I guess, the longer your there, the better chance you have to work. Sort of a water downed Grapes of Wrath stuff. I have to thank God for the help with food that's available, and the generosity of family members.
